In light of the resignation of Community Arts Network (CAN) Chairperson Lorraine Keane, Deputy Chair Isabelle Adams and Secretary Suku Sukunesan, 27 May 2026, the organisation’s first priority is to restore the board to quorum, ensuring that it is representative of the community arts and cultural development (CACD) sector.
Board Director Zali Morgan, appointed at the 2026 AGM Tuesday 26 May, and newly appointed Treasurer Thomas Franklyn (April 2026) are both committed to working with the CAN team and membership, to rebuild trust in the organisation and ensure the continuity of CAN’s work at the forefront of CACD.
The Board Directors and the CAN team are committed to the purpose and values that CAN has upheld for the past 40 years; its commitment to platforming West Australian stories, histories and experiences that reveal the depth and diversity of our world.
