Help us transform lives, using the power of the arts

At Community Arts Network (CAN) we harness the power of the arts to transform lives, make change and create a more inclusive society.

Now more than ever, those who would like to see recognition, reconciliation, rights and social equity for all Australians can make a real difference at a grass roots level by supporting CAN.

Make a gift to CAN and you will be actively creating positive social change through high-quality collaborative community arts projects that amplify marginalised voices and stories, create positive social change and build inclusion and understanding between people.

We work with professional artists who are experienced community and cultural development practitioners. This allows us to tap into the creativity of participants, and tell unique, authentic and often unheard Australian stories through works that are shared in high-profile exhibitions and moving performances.

CAN’s four-decade history has allowed us to build trust and genuine relationships within a diverse network of communities throughout WA.

Skilled in facilitating dialogue, we have cultivated an acute understanding of, sensitivity to and expertise in using exploratory, artistic processes to develop work with and between communities, sometimes within challenging social and intercultural dynamics.

CAN has been called a game-changer in communities, but its impact doesn’t stop there. It also develops the careers of young and emerging artists to become experienced community arts workers.

WHY DONATE NOW?

CAN offers an opportunity for donors and corporate partners to see reconciliation in action through immersive community and cultural experiences. Join us to imagine the future in a new way!

A gift to CAN is an active move towards achieving a more just, inclusive Australia where everyone’s voices are heard and included in the cultural expressions of our nation.

Donations over $2 are tax-deductible.
