Continuing the Journey with CAN: Four More Years of Funding from AOIP

CAN is proud to announce that we have successfully secured an additional four years of funding from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries’ Arts Organisations Investment Program (AOIP). The continued support from the State Government for community arts practice is a testament to CAN's unique contribution to the sector.

For over 35 years, CAN has been delivering transformative art projects that give voice to people and their hidden histories, creating positive social change. This extended funding from AOIP is a chance for us to continue this journey with renewed vigour. The increased funding, an annual uplift of $65,000 from our previous level, marks a significant milestone for CAN, and we are grateful for the State Government's continued support.

Our successful application is a result of the collective efforts of our team, community members, and supporters. We would like to thank our former CEO, Wendy Martin for her leadership and guidance during the AOIP process. The application process was rigorous, and we are so proud of this collaborative outcome.

The CAN Fam understands the privileged position this investment puts our organisation in and together we will work tirelessly over the next four years to utilise these funds to achieve an even greater impact on the communities we work with. Our commitment remains to support and uplift communities and to celebrate the cultural and artistic diversity of Western Australia. We believe that creative expression should be accessible to all, and this funding will help us continue to give a voice to the hidden histories and diversity of art forms in Western Australia, working collaboratively with communities, artists, and supporters.

We are excited to see what the future holds for CAN and will stay committed to our purpose for the next four years and beyond.

Stay tuned for updates on our exciting new projects and initiatives. Thank you for supporting CAN in our continued journey!
