CAN wishes to announce that current CEO Wendy Martin is departing CAN at the end of October.

Wendy has reluctantly decided to resign from her role and will be returning to Sydney for personal reasons.

CAN announces that experienced CEO Monica Kane will return to CAN for a 6 month period of stewardship. We are delighted to welcome Monica back to CAN and feel confident in her maintaining the current program as the organisation looks to undertake a future national recruitment process in 2023.

The Chair, Board and staff express their gratitude for Wendy’s leadership and the artistic vision she has brought to the important work CAN does, and wish her well into the future.

CAN Chair, Pearl Proud, says,

“Whilst Wendy’s time at CAN could have been longer, her contribution has strengthened CAN’s readiness for the next phase. It has added a valuable dimension to the long history of CAN’s enrichment of WA communities. Wendy is now forever part of the CAN family”.

Wendy will depart CAN at the end of October 2022.
