On Saturday 17 September, over 100 people came together to celebrate the koort, moort and kalyakool (heart, family and legacy) of Noongar families in Northam.

The concert was held at Northam Senior High School’s Performing Arts Centre and was the launch of the beautiful album, Kwobidak Balladong Boodja: Noongar Lullabies from Northam.

Special thanks to the wonderful songwriters who performed, as well as your family members and Northam Primary students and teacher, Lizzie Stack, who also took to the stage. You were all moorditj!

Thank you also to Karen Blurton for your delicious food and the incredible production crew, Graham and Nyree for making the event so seamless. And of course, special mention to Cyndy Moody and Phil Bartlett for facilitating Lullabies and your words on the day.
