This poster features intricate handheld Basque clay stamps that were created by the Place Names Melville contributing artists. The symbols featured on the stamps are drawn from the geographical land mass around Melville, where the locations of the decoded place names are found. The symbols are used to depict the tangible and intangible elements of Country before colonisation.
