The Beautiful Smiles project began in 2024 when the department of Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) commissioned Community Arts Network to produce a board book and song designed to support Western Australian families as they introduce their children to the principles of oral health. Beautiful Smiles aims to support and share CAHS’s newly-launched early childhood dental program Smiling Starts.

The Beautiful Smiles book and lullaby launch was held 5 August 2024, at Beechboro Library, and included a sing-along followed by morning tea.
