Behind the epic Lost in Space music video, is Now Sounds Midwest, a multi-layered project that amplifies and platforms the voices of young people.
In this video you’ll hear from artists Scott “Optamus” Griffiths and Josh “Flewnt” Eggington, as well as young artists from the Lost in Space music video, talking about how the Now Sounds Midwest project not only offered young people the chance to develop new skills in lyric writing and beat-making, and other artforms, but in doing so has opened up career possibilities and allowed their voices to be heard.
CAN has partnered with Healthway, the Department of Social Services and the Department of Communities to deliver Now Sounds Midwest. The project has been developed using the Social and Emotional Wellbeing Arts Framework created by The Kids Research Institute.
