Based on stories shared by Elders during the Place Names Bayswater project, the story – Baarlunging Birralyn Maarkulin I Tracking Bayswater Journey – was written by Bruce Denny and takes the reader on a virtual journey through the project's decoded placename locations, explaining how and why the Noongar people moved from place to place as the seasons changed. The story is evocatively framed with artworks created by Place Names Bayswater project participants, guided by Noongar artist Zali Morgan and Noongar Traditional Owner and artist Geri Hayden, and photographs taken by award-winning Noongar photographer Hugh Sando.
