Ways to Protect My Family
The first step to protecting your family is to gain a certain level of knowledge and understanding of sexual health, HIV and Hepatitis C yourself! Having some knowledge on the issues surrounding these subjects will make it much easier to talk to your kids about them and also to offer advice when it may be appropriate.
One of the challenges of living in the country is that there is not the range of services available, particularly in these areas, as there may be in the city. This means, more often than not, our kids rely more heavily on us to ‘fill in the gaps'.
We have tried to put together enough information on our site (and within our links to other sites) to give you the basics of what you may need to know in order to help protect your family. We also have a section for young people, with information designed specifically for them, which you could encourage your kids to check out.
