The CAN Resource Centre also has numerous resources on HIV/AIDS, Hepatitic C, sexual health that you are welcome to.  All you need to do is drop into the centre, and we'll help you find all the information you need.

We also have a number of resources that you may find useful to hand out to students or clients. We can provide you with multiple copies if neccessary and resources are provided free of charge. We can also make up resource showbags for you to hand out to students and clients.

And don't forget about our safe sex packs (containing a condom, lube and instructions). We can provide you with as many as you need!

Talking Sexual Health: A teaching and learning resource for secondary schools - implementing the national framework for education about STI's, HIV/AIDS and Blood Borne Viruses in secondary schools

Sexual Health Services Guide: The ‘Sexual Health Services Guide' was developed by the Bendigo Loddon Primary Care Partnership's Sexual Health Task Group of which CAN is lead agency. The guide aims to improve community awareness of sexual health services available and ensure that services are responsive to diverse sexual health needs.

Family Planning Victoria: Improving sexual health for young people, A resource for PCPs and health professionals: Everything you need to know about sexual health and young people, all on the one CD. Whether you're a service provider, youth worker, health or education professional, this CD will help you make sexual health of young people a priority. Copies of the CD are available at the CAN Resource Centre or call Family Planning Victoria on 03 9257 0146

HIV, Hepatitis, STI Resource Centre: The Education and Resource Centre (ERC) provides a wide variety of up-to-date information on HIV/AIDS, hepatitis and sexually transmissible infections. The ERC is based at The Alfred hospital in Prahran, Melbourne. The Centre itself is located in Fairfield House, Moubray Street, Prahran. The ERC website has a section for teachers where useful resources can be found.

HIV, Viral Hepatitis and STIs: a guide for primary care: This monograph from ASHM reflects best practice in Australia today for the management of these viruses in the primary care setting. The resource is designed to meet the needs of general practitioners and other health care providers. It provides up to date information and guidelines on risk assessment, diagnosis, management and professional issues. Hard copies of this resource are availble at the CAN Resource Centre.

Victorian STI Strategy 2006 - 2009: The Victorian Government is committed to improving the overall sexual health and wellbeing of Victorians by reducing the rates of STIs in the community. This inaugural Victorian STI Strategy recognises that increasing levels of sexually transmissible infections in Victoria is of significant public health concern. It provides a framework for a coordinated and sustained response to reducing the incidence and impact of STIs throughout Victoria.

2008 Global AIDS Epidemic report:  The Joint United Nations programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) has released the 2008 Global AIDS Epidemic Report on 29 July 2008. UNAIDS publishes a new "Report on the global AIDS epidemic" every two years. The Report draws upon and publishes the best available data from countries and provides an overview and commentary on the epidemic and the international response.

ASHM Directory: HIV, hepatitis and related services: The Directory is a compendium of contact details that is updated each year. It includes detailed listing of practitioners, organisations, locations, languages and specialities. This resource is also available at the CAN Resource Centre

ALSO Foundation Directory: Australia's first and most comprehensive directory of business and community groups offering services to the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex community. This resource is also available at the CAN Resource Centre
