Support & Information

CAN offers free confidential information, advice and support to the general community, both individuals and organisations, by telephone or in person. Our friendly knowledgeable staff and volunteers can assist in a number of ways such as providing referral information to a range of other general and specialist service providers including support groups and healthcare providers.

Locally, key groups, service providers and individuals play an important role in assisting us to deliver services across rural regional Victoria. CAN fosters and supports a number of community/peers support groups for people in rural/regional areas living with &/or affected by blood borne viruses (BBVs). While a majority of our programs have been based in central Victoria; several groups have been established over the years around the state. We also try to maintain a list of key contacts in most areas where there are no active groups or where groups are in recess. Key contacts are members of CAN who have offered their knowledge and support as volunteers to provide community/peer support on the local level.
