Education
We develop and deliver a range of educational programs, workshops & forums for groups, schools and organisations about important relevant health issues regarding HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C and sexual health.
Our programs focus on prevention while encouraging healthier lifestyle choices. We present a number of various information sessions designed to accommodate a range of audiences including students, health care professionals and youth and community workers. Most of our education services are provided free.
CAN regularly facilitates or runs public community awareness campaigns in rural/regional Victoria including World AIDS Day, Hepatitis Awareness Week, etc. We strongly believe that fact-based knowledge is the key to empowering people with the skills needed to make better lifestyle choices and helps reduce stigma and discrimination sometimes associated with these issues.
Often our work is delivered in partnership with other peak bodies such as the Victorian AIDS Council, People Living With HIV/AIDS Victoria and Hepatitis C Victoria. We value our partnerships and work to support the expert programs created by our partners, helping to ensure that they reach Victoria's rural/regional communities.
