Take Care OutBack There is part of a three year state-wide program that aims to promote and improve sexual health for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer, (GLBTQ) Victorian's living in regional and rural communities.
We know that for some people, living in rural and regional areas where we are sometimes seen as ‘different' can be isolating. The more connected we are to our communities the better our health outcomes. To this end, we work with established and new GLBTQ groups and event organisers to help facilitate new networks where sexual health promotion can take place, keeping sexual health on the agenda and making it a part of our everyday lives.
The Take Care OutBack There website is still in its early stages but is already providing information about social groups, events and sexual health services available in rural and regional Victoria as well as promoting the activities of individual groups who have partnered with the project. A photo gallery has just been added to serve as a visual record of both Take Care events and the fun things our partners get up to as part of their committment to the program.
