Spring Migration

This festival is also a celebration for gay and lesbian couples who, from July, will be given the same rights as de facto heterosexual partners when inequalities are removed in more than 100 areas of law, including tax, superannuation, health, aged care and employment. This will be a new start and celebration like no other for our communities.
Most of us came from straight parents and would love all our families, friends and anyone that wants to come to this history making event over the North East and Border for 9 days.There will be a host of things to do and join in.
The energy and beginning of spring along with a full moon and the changes in the law will make this a party like no other and will be what we can make it as a community.
The festival aims to break down the barriers between gay and straight and curb the suicide rate among gay youth. The organisers are working with the WayOut project to educate the community on the impact of homophobia on young gay people.
